We are seeking to recruit two trainees who will join either the Cloud 360 project team or the enterprise resource planning (ERP) product team and work closely with the IT project managers and the product teams.

The ECB is an inclusive employer and we strive to reflect the diversity of the population we serve. We encourage you to apply irrespective of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or other characteristics.

Your role

As a trainee in the Cloud 360 programme you will:
  • support the product teams in their migration to the cloud;
  • regularly coordinate with product teams and all the stakeholders involved in the migration;
  • track the progress of migration, monitoring resources and risks of the cloud migration project and in-scope migrations;
  • build reporting dashboards and aggregate data sources;
  • update documentation in Confluence.

As a trainee in the ERP product team you will:
  • support the product team in sprint planning and execution;
  • work closely with the product managers in introducing new SAP software/products;
  • develop dashboards/reports for our customers in SAP Analytics Cloud;
  • update documentation in Confluence.

The position offers you excellent opportunities to develop your skills as part of a dynamic international organisation undergoing a major digital transformation. You will be part of a multicultural team that strives for continuous innovation to make a positive impact on the lives of European citizens.

Our traineeship programme gives you:
  • a chance to immerse yourself in the ECB’s IT systems and infrastructure and gain first-hand experience of a team delivering high-quality IT services and projects;
  • the opportunity to attend courses and interactive information sessions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the role of the ECB;
  • individualised assignments taking your development needs into account;
  • challenging tasks in which you can hone your analytical, technical and business skills;
  • the opportunity to gain experience with SAP technologies such as ABAP, CDS, SAP Fiori and SAP S/4HANA;
  • mentors and leaders willing to share their experience with you.

  • experience of working with communication or collaboration solutions (e.g. Confluence, MS Teams, Miro or wikis);
  • basic understanding of cloud infrastructure;
  • knowledge of agile or DevOps delivery methods;
  • development skills and the ability to learn new programming languages.

You are curious and eager to learn, and want to further develop your ability to analyse complex information. You are keen to collaborate with others, pursue team goals and learn from other people’s diverse perspectives. You strive to know and anticipate stakeholder needs, and will signal any need for change and propose alternative solutions.

You are motivated to contribute to the ECB’s mission, to serve the citizens of the EU as a member of a public institution and to work with colleagues from all over Europe. You are keen to be part of our team and to use your skills and competencies to achieve the aims of this position.
