During this phase the focus will be on preparing further for the development of a digital euro, building on the findings obtained during the investigation phase.

In your role as Head of Division Product Proposition you will head a division composed of four teams responsible for designing and refining the digital euro product proposition. The division will manage the project activities related to the value proposition and user journeys for consumers, merchants and intermediaries for all agreed use cases: (a) person to person (P2P)/e-commerce, (b) point of sale and (c) offline. The division will therefore contribute, among others, to project activities related to digital financial inclusion, the digital euro compensation model, the parametrisation of holding limits and ecological footprint aspects. You will report to the digital euro programme manager.

Your role

As Head of Division Product Proposition, you will be responsible for developing the digital euro product proposition in view of a potential Eurosystem decision to issue a digital euro. You will:
  • manage the design and refinement of the product proposition for consumers and merchants, paying specific attention to user experience research and financial inclusion;
  • further develop and refine the distribution model via payment service providers, including a possible detailed rollout approach, the compensation model and the modelling of the parametrisation of the digital euro holdings limits;
  • coordinate the development of the business and implementation aspects of the prioritised digital euro use cases POS/P2P/e-commerce/offline;
  • liaise closely with both internal Eurosystem colleagues and external stakeholders, which includes participating and presenting in the different governance groups;
  • manage the budget for both human resources and external consultancy.

The position offers you a unique opportunity to shape the future of central bank money by making it available also in digital form to all citizens and firms in the euro area and, in doing so, support the digitalisation of the euro area economy. You will be part of a multicultural team that strives for continuous innovation to make a positive impact on the lives of European citizens.
