Your team

You will be part of the Governance and Transformation Services Division, which acts as a cross-functional service platform for the three service areas under the ECB’s Chief Services Office: Directorate General Corporate Services, Directorate General Human Resources and Directorate General Information Systems.
The Division supports all three service areas in the fields of communication, service delivery and optimisation, financial management and quality management. Using its skills and operational expertise, it provides them with the best practices, methodologies and tools to enable them to focus on their core functions and perform their key activities to an excellent standard.
In your role as Test Management Specialist, you will be part of a team of ten staff members responsible for improving delivery of projects and service releases. Your role will focus primarily on IT development and you will work closely with business users, project managers and business analysts, as well as IT security and software engineers.

Your role

As a Test Management Specialist you will:
  • coordinate execution of the ECB testing strategy, following an agile approach as part of a cross-functional team and working closely with project and development teams;
  • support project managers and service coordinators in implementing best practices for testing in relation to, for example, goals and scope of quality assurance, test phases, test levels, test types, test reporting and software configuration management;
  • provide advice and training on using IT testing methodologies and tools (Confluence, Jira, ALM, Xray, ECB software factory, etc.) and developing the related material;
  • review the quality of test plans and deliverables to develop a risk-based approach to testing;
  • act as a coordinator for the testing community and organise events to share knowledge and practices across the ECB and European System of Central Banks.

We are seeking candidates for this role who demonstrate the potential for growth, and we support the selected candidate in her/his future development of the required knowledge, skills or competencies.

The position offers you excellent opportunities to establish best practices for implementing changes to testing practices and challenge opinions about what is possible and how things are done, while also developing new ideas and deepening your knowledge of testing and quality assurance. You will be part of a multicultural team that strives for continuous innovation to make a positive impact on the lives of European citizens.
