Your team
You will be part of the Governance and Transformation Services (GTS) Division, which acts as a cross-functional service platform for the three service areas that operate under the ECB’s Chief Services Officer (CSO), namely the Directorates General Corporate Services, Human Resources and Information Systems.
The GTS Division provides the CSO service areas with operational support and horizontal services in the areas of communication, service delivery and optimisation, financial management and quality management. The Division uses its skills and know-how, as well as best practices, methodologies and tools, to enable the CSO service areas to focus on their core functions and perform their key activities to an excellent standard.
We are seeking to fill up one Expert position to contribute in the robotic process automation project and after the initial implementation to further develop automation in the areas of professional expertise of the Division: optimisation, finance, sourcing, project and service management.

Your role
As an Organisational Solutions Expert you will:
- engage and work with CSO business areas and its customers, identify opportunities and perform tests to create and/or redesign processes that increase customer value;
- determine the root causes of performance defects through deep-dive data analysis and process observation;
- design, implement and track process innovations across multiple service areas establishing cross-functional operating models and improving efficiency;
- drive benchmarking and documentation of core design and process standards for CSO area services.

Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential:
- a masters’ degree or equivalent in business administration, economics, computer science, engineering, supply chains or another relevant field (click here for details on degree equivalences);
- in addition to the above, at least seven years’ experience in the field of process engineering and operational transformation, including digitalisation, quality, optimisation and/or benchmarking in international organisations;
- expert knowledge gained from hands-on experience in the management of larger cross-process and cross-departmental projects or services, ideally in an environment of shared services, finance, business administration, logistics, human resources or IT;
- analytical and conceptual skills with transformation and programme management experience, including communication with senior management;
- proven IT skills, ideally with extensive knowledge and experience with process analysis mining tools and digital topics, e.g. SAP HCM modules, Bizagi, Celonis;
- facilitate structured workshops to design and develop internal services, synthesise the weak points of processes for a team, and give an outlook for the way forward that is clear and actionable;
- an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

- OE Black Belt, Green Belt or Lean Sensei certification with substantial project experience?

The contract(s) offered will be fixed-term, the appointment being for 2 years as of the exact starting date of the selected person.
Temporary appointments may be extended or made permanent subject to organisational needs and budgetary constraints. This may result in a staff member with a non-convertible fixed-term contract being offered a convertible contract in accordance with the ECB Conditions of Employment.
The formal title for this position will be Organisational Solutions Expert.
