We work in very close cooperation with teams across all business areas, contributing to innovation, systems implementation projects, and improving IT services. We are also in close contact with other IT architects in national central banks and competent authorities, as well as industry analysts and key vendors, and we keep up to date with emerging and developing IT technologies and architectures.
The position requires a strong focus on IT security, especially in areas such as identity and access management, and cloud-native security architecture. Your role
As a Senior IT Architect, you will:

- keep up to date with emerging and developing IT technologies and architectural concepts, with a view to building state-of-the-art and innovative architectures and designs;
- develop and maintain principles, strategies, non-functional requirements, reference patterns, target state models and roadmaps for ECB and ESCB business application and infrastructure architecture, in order to support their evolution;
- together with other enterprise and solution architects, IT security experts and other technical specialists, proactively assess and advise on how innovative and promising technologies can be used to address strategic and tactical business requirements.
The position offers you excellent opportunities to contribute to the ECB’s digital transformation, by driving the implementation and evolution of services and technology in crucial areas such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, systems integration, cloud services and collaboration, as well as communications technologies.
