You will be part of the Risk Analysis Division in the Directorate Risk Management. We are currently reviewing if and how climate change-related considerations should be integrated into our risk management framework.

In your role as Financial Risk Expert, you will be part of a Division of 30 members of staff responsible for measuring, assessing and reporting on financial risk exposures steaming from the Eurosystem balance sheet. In this, we work closely with several other business areas within the ECB and with our colleagues in the national central banks (NCBs).

  • conduct credit risk analyses in the context of the ECB’s asset purchase programmes, with a special focus on the corporate sector purchase programme (CSPP);
  • contribute on an ongoing basis to the due diligence process for the CSPP;
  • perform risk control tasks for monetary policy and investment exposures, including conducting issuer eligibility assessments; monitoring exposure limits and the quality of prices used for valuation, and developing and maintaining risk control frameworks and infrastructure;
The position offers you an excellent opportunity to get involved in the implementation of one of the key policy tools of the ECB and to join the discussions on whether and how to complement the asset purchase programmes with climate change-related considerations from a risk management perspective. You will be part of a multicultural team that strives for continuous innovation to make a positive impact on the lives of European citizens.
